Much of my childhood was spent creating worlds; making up characters and stories and living inside them. Some I wrote down, others I wish I did.
I always dreamed of being a writer. Dreaming can be exhausting. When I finally decided to do something about it I enrolled in Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT. I have been a blissful student ever since.
As I began to learn about history, the stories I read became woven into my own writing. Sometimes, I still have trouble remembering if a character once really lived or if they came from inside me.
I live in the Dandenong Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne with my young family, a free-range house rabbit, two roof possums at war and a cackle of kookaburras out in the gum trees.
